New Tutorial "Funky New Year"

This tut was written in PSP X2 but any graphics program will work.  I am using a PTU taggers kit called "Funky New Year" and can be found HERE  in the store.
This tutorial was written by Debs Design and any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincedental.  I am using a poser from the kit by  ©Medievil Creations
The template used in this tut is from Vivis Design

Let's Begin.
 open the template
Shift D and close the original
Delete layers: 23, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,and background,
Increase canvas size to 650x600

On the layer pallete highlight layer 4, choose one of the clocks from the kit, copy and paste on the image, resize by 85% and move it to cover the circle at the top left

Highlight layer 12, go to selections, select all, then float and then defloat, copy and paste a paper of your choice as a new layer. Resize by 80% go to selections, and invert, sitting on the paper layer hit delete on the keyboard, selections select none. Delete the greyscale layer 12
Add a drop shadow to Happy New Year of v&h 1, opacity 40, blur 2, color black

highlight layer 2, selections, select all, then float and defloat. Add a color or paper of choice

Highlight layer1, selections, select all, then float and defloat. Copy and paste a paper of your choice and resize by 80%.
Position to your liking, go to selections invert and hit delete on the keyboard.  Delete the greyscale layer 1

Highlight layer 22, selections select all then float and defloat, flood fill with color of choice, select none. Add a drop shadow with the settings as above.
Repeat this step with layer 11 and all the curly ribbon layers.

Pick a poser from the kit,I used #5 and copy & paste as a new layer. Move the poser layer above layer 22 on the layer pallette, resize poser by 40% and image mirror. Position poser to your liking and mover layer 2 so poser is sitting on it
Add a drop shadow to the poser I used the above settings but increased the blur to 6.

Add any elements you like from the kit, see mine for reference.

Add the year 2010, I used Bobo Bold font, size 90 and I used a paper for the fill.
Add your name and copyright and you are finished
Hope you enjoyed this tut and kit.
